Tools for School Success

W.I.N. Time - What I Need

W.I.N. Time allows for an opportunity to provide academic assistance, attention to executive functioning skills, guidance related to social-emotional development and access to enrichment opportunities. Having a dedicated time to explore all of these interventions allows this to happen without disrupting direct instruction. Students can be electronically claimed by their teachers via PowerSchool. This provides an opportunity for a student to receive the additional assistance he/she deserves and/or acknowledge that a student is engaged in an activity beyond the stated curriculum.

POWERSCHOOL PORTAL
Whether you want to view attendance and grades or simply email a teacher, open your web browser to our school’s PowerSchool website. Then, enter your Username and Password to log in to PowerSchool. We encourage our students to use this tool as one more form of feedback about their educational progress. Students can check on his/her progress and communicate with teachers when questions arise.

SUBSCRIBING TO GOOGLE CALENDARS
This document walks students through the steps of subscribing to their teacher's Google homework calendars. By following these steps students will sync their calendar app with the various homework calendars they have access to. Students will still need to copy assignments to their own calendar if they are big assignments that must be divided into more manageable chunks. We highly recommend this method for developing time and task management skills.
