- Would like to provide companionship to fellow schoolmates
- Have a positive attitude
- Are interested in learning about diversity
- Are willing to extend kindness to others
Students can see Mrs. Sturgeon to pick up an application or DOWNLOAD the application HERE.
Peer Helpers may receive training on such topics as confidentiality, removing stereotypes, and role modeling. Peer Helpers meet with their peer during lunch and play a game or do an activity and have a friendly conversation.
If You Believe Your Child Could Benefit from Having a Peer Helper~
Please contact your child’s school counselor (Kim Sturgeon for grades 7 & 8, Stephanie Royal for grades 5 & 6) or one of the school social workers, Louise Lynch or Sarah Hanson (or Suzanne Paule, long term sub from Sept-Nov. for Sarah)
